Part II Day 7 & 8

 We take a slow ride from Abilene to Amarillo Texas. I call it abandoned house searching. 


ww did make a stop at CapRock Canyon too.  How beautiful it is here.  

As we are exiting the park we get to see some Buffalo!  


The cactus are in bloom too!


It takes us quite while to go from Abilene to Amarillo.  But, that is ok, we have a lot of fun taking photos.  


The next day we go from Amarillo to Denver. We drive straight though with one very cool stop at


It looks like the Badlands 

It is pretty warm out, we all enjoy the formations and walking around here. 

Next stop Denver... we're going to the same hotel we started in. They have a salt water pool.  We can't wait!  

We have dinner first...  so excited about the pool. 
We get back and change.  I get this from Dan.... 

I thought he was joking.  He wasn't.  They are painting the deck. Not happy 😒... we are all disappointed.  

Dan and I play a game of pool instead. Steve falls asleep in his room... Adam watches hockey as Susannah figures out her cancelled flight... Amy deserted us so she could pack her bags and get rest. 

The trip is over. We are all exhausted. It's been a whirlwind of a week.  

We have met friends from this trip that will remain friends for life. 

Now to rest up and go through my photos and edit.  

The weather changes are kicking my butt right now too. From almost no humidity to over 80% humidity at home. My sinuses are doing a song and dance. 


This is our fearless group! 
Somehow I think we will travel together again... 

Haven't laughed so hard in years! 
We all needed this. 

The laughs, the new friendships and the wonderful experiences.  
G-d was very good to us. We came back home in one piece.  Filled with wonderful memories... 

I know the boys want to go back out west. 

I hope the spirit of adventure is never quenched... 

Remember,  Live Life To The Fullest!  You don't know what tomorrow may bring!

  Storm Chasing 2022 AKA Adam’s Tornado…..   (Adam doesn’t want me calling it “Adam’s Tornado” But, I just can’t change it.)    During Easter dinner at my house (2021), I approached Adam with the idea of going on a storm chasing trip next year.  I mentioned it, but, it took root in my soul.  He kind of brushed me off… But something in me made me pursue it.   Started a group chat on messenger.  Looking back in messenger….. Dan must have come over on the night of the 5 th , and we picked out the first photography tour date…. May 19 th  – 27 th  Host city Denver.   April 7 th  I contacted Silver Lining Tours and reserved 3 spots on the van…..  I would have to let them know by the end of next week if we were going to send in the deposit or not…...

Day 3

Got up super early to go to Horseshoe Bend. But, just going there really gave me anxious.  I'm cool with it. Adam and Dan scare me though,  getting so close to the edge.... Makes me nervous.   Started driving, made wrong turn... to Lake Powell Dam we go instead.  To the visitors center,   then to an outlook.  I looked at my Instructions about Antelope Canyon. 🤦‍♀️ I get so confused about the time in Arizona and the Navajo lands.  So, we head to the starting location for Antelope,  for clarification.  We have 2 more hours. So Horseshoe Bend... here we come. It's early but, the temperature is heating up fast. Since I was here last they put a railing up. I can get closer now. Before it was super scary  Yeah, I can't watch them Next is Antelope Canyon tour. We do the Upper Canyon.  After Antelope,  we have lunch in Page, then head to Monu...

Day 1

Travel day. We started super early in the morning.  Buffalo to Chicago,  Chicago to Phoenix.   (We did see the fires in New Mexico from the plane.  Today,  a lot of hurry up and wait.  We got to Phoenix without incident.  Our luggage arrived too! 😍  Then to get the rental vehicle... We got a nice BIG vehicle to carry us and our luggage in comfort.  We drove from Phoenix to Sedona and the Chaple of the Holy Cross.  The landscape forever changing.  The Sun was hitting the rocks just right!  How absolutely beautiful!  From Sedona we head to Williams. It's part of the Historic Route 66. Super quaint town.  Got our rooms for the night, then head out to eat.  We just had to get this. Adam got a photo of the mass of food!🤦‍♀️ Too much food! We have dinner for tomorrow.   Pooped good Night
